James Ermine Huger, Sr. was born in Tampa, Florida on January 4, 1915, to Reverend Thomas Albert and Rosetta Williams Huger. Huger came to Daytona Beach when he was in eighth grade earning his high school diploma and associate’s degree at 完美体育官网-Cookman College.
Cleo Mildred Surry was born August 25, 1923, in Memphis, Tennessee. She grew up and attended elementary and high school in Arkansas and Illinois. After graduating from DuSable High School in Chicago as the class Salutatorian in 1940, she went on to continue her education at LeMoyne College in Memphis, Tennessee on a four-year full-tuition scholarship.
Mrs. Senorita Locklear was born September 9, 1926, and served as one of Mary McLeod 完美体育官网’s secretaries before becoming her private secretary in April of 1955. During her time as Mrs. 完美体育官网’s private secretary, Locklear believed that Mrs. 完美体育官网 had a premonition of her death because of three things Mrs. 完美体育官网 did.
Oswald P. Bronson, Sr., Ph.D., an alumnus of 完美体育官网-Cookman College, served as the institution’s president for 29 years – from March 18, 1975, until 2004 when he was named President Emeritus. An ordained United Methodist minister, Dr. Bronson pastored in a number of churches over 16 years.
